Isaiah Washington aka Preston Burke
It’s a start that didn’t go unnoticed and, in particular, showed the integrity of series producer Shonda Rhimes. Off the cameras, actor Isaiah Washington has been particularly obnoxious, especially to T.R. Knight. T. R. Knight aka George O'Malley

Katherine Heigl aka Izzie Stevens
Izzie moved us a lot and evolved a lot over the course of the series. The departure of its interpreter, Katherine Heigl, was a real blow. At the 2008 Emmy Awards, the actress declined her nomination, believing she did not deserve it. It seems that this position was not appreciated by Shonda Rhimes. In 2009, Katherine Heigl therefore demanded the end of her contract 18 months earlier. But in an interview with Good Housekeeping, the actress said her departure was mostly due to a desire to devote more time to her family life.
Patrick Dempsey aka Derek Shepherd
The departure of Doctor Mamour was a trauma for many fans of Grey's Anatomy. The cult series was losing a key character. In an interview with Leisure TV, Patrick Dempsey explained: "It had become difficult for me to reconcile the endless hours spent on the set of the series, my passion for cars and my family life." If this seems to be the official reasons for his departure, rumors claim that Shonda Rhimes decided to part ways with her star actor because the latter allegedly cheated on his wife, a friend of the producer, with a member of the film crew of Grey's Anatomy.
