This cancellation comes after the series had already been renewed for a third round of episodes in December 2021. According to Deadline, the casting was being negotiated and filming was to start in the coming weeks.
“Paramount+ has made the difficult decision not to continue the adventure with season 3 of Why Women Kill“, said a spokesperson for the platform to our colleagues at Variety. “We would like to thank our partners at CBS Studios and Imagine Television Studios, the fantastic creator and showrunner Marc Cherry, as well as the incredible writers, cast and all the rest of the team for these two unforgettable seasons.“

Season 2, meanwhile, was set in 1949 and told the story of a woman trying to fit into high society at all costs. The cast included Allison Tolman, Lana Parrilla, BK Cannon, Jordane Christie, Matthew Daddario, Veronica Falcón and Nick Frost.
