On Friday, the police released a photo of the inmate who escaped at 10:30 a.m. on Monday during a medical examination at the Wiener Neustadt State Hospital. According to the broadcast, the 16-year-old Afghan was wearing a black and white tracksuit with the inscription “Alpha”. Information about Yousef A.’s whereabouts, which will be treated confidentially, was requested from the Wiener Neustadt-Burgplatz police station (Tel. 059133-3391). The teenager was wearing handcuffs when he escaped. An alarm search, which also involved a helicopter and service dogs, was unsuccessful on Monday. According to the executive, the 16-year-old would have been released from prison for juveniles in Gerasdorf (Neunkirchen district) in January 2024. Another prisoner escaped during a visit to the hospital on Tuesday evening. According to the executive, the 35-year-old inmate was serving a prison sentence in the Stein prison for, among other things, aggravated robbery. An alarm search for the Russian citizen in the Krems area was negative. An inmate from the Schwarzau prison (Neunkirchen district) also disappeared; she escaped during an unguarded inpatient stay at the Wiener Neustadt State Hospital.
