An initially unknown driver lost control of his vehicle, drove over the green area of ​​​​the roundabout and finally crashed into a sidewalk edge. Two officers immediately wanted to help the driver. But he just drove on with the demolished car. “Despite the clear stop signal from the police officers, the driver did not stop, he accelerated his vehicle and drove towards both officers. They had to get to safety by jumping to the side,” reported the executive. The attempted escape ended in a crash The driver involved in the accident then fled. But this was short-lived. In the course of an immediately initiated pursuit or manhunt with several patrols, the police found the fleeing car between Telfs and the district of Bairbach. The driver had left the road and crashed into rocks! The driver, a 63-year-old Austrian, was seriously injured in this accident and was trapped in the vehicle. “He had to be pulled out of the car by firefighters. After first aid, he was admitted to the Innsbruck Clinic. A breathalyser test revealed significant intoxication,” the investigators continued. The Buchener Landesstraße was completely closed until 3.30 a.m. due to the accident. Several traffic control systems were damaged by the accident, and the 63-year-old’s car was a total loss.
