Wildlife crossing warning – fence of enclosure pinched open: 12 animals escaped

A hitherto unknown perpetrator pinched a chain link fence from a large game enclosure between August 30, 2021, 8 p.m. to August 31, 2021, 6:30 a.m. in the municipality of Tumeltsham, so that twelve pieces of fallow deer could escape. As a result of the animals that have escaped, there is now an increased risk of deer moving in the area of the surrounding roads, in particular along the B 141 and B 141a.

The road maintenance department in Ried was commissioned to set up warning signs for crossing animals. Catching the animals is very difficult, according to the 43-year-old owner, as they were not used to people in the large enclosure in which they were kept and are therefore very shy. The Tumeltsham hunters together with the owner are involved in the search for the animals and their capture.
