Will Apple really replace the iPad Mini with a foldable tablet?

Apple is about to revamp its iPad Mini range. Indeed, the latter could well disappear in a few years. And the American brand plans to launch a brand new device to replace it.

The firm headed by Tim Cook intends to release a new object equipped with a foldable screen. But it won’t be for now…

Need a replacement?

A year ago, Apple released its 6th generation iPad Mini. A great tablet that has a sumptuous 8.3-inch screen, stunning performance thanks to the A15 Bionic chip, and excellent battery life. All in a small, easily transportable device with its miniature design taking up certain curves of the iPad Pro and Air.

Despite this excellent version, Apple would indeed consider stopping the production of its iPad Mini. The multinational would aim to diversify its offer by offering for sale a rather different product. This is the website The Electric who reports this astonishing information. Thus, the Cupertino company would work on a foldable device which should certainly replace this poor iPad Mini.

A well-established schedule

According to these rumors, Apple will launch this product a year after its OLED iPad. Since the latter will enter the market in 2024, the device with a foldable screen will not arrive before 2025. In addition, the panel of this product should be less than 10 inches. At the same time, the brand’s engineers are currently working on another foldable screen, which this time would be around 20 inches. It could therefore be intended for a future MacBook Pro.

Anyway, we don’t really have any concrete information about it yet. We must therefore continue to keep a cool head while waiting for a hypothetical speech from Apple and above all be patient, since the replacement for the iPad Mini will not be released for three good years.
