Since the acquisition of Activision Blizzard by Microsoft, many concerns have surfaced in the Call of Duty community, regarding the exclusive passage of the license for Microsoft consoles. This has all calmed down since then with Microsoft’s announcement the maintenance of licenses on the platforms where they are already. It would even be three Call of Duty which should arrive in the coming years on Playstation.
We had already learned last week thanks to Jason Schreier that we might not have more than one Call of Duty per year. Le journalist, in a report published by Bloomberg come back today with some more encouraging news. He affirms that the next three Call of Duty games will be available on Sony consoles. The first, which we are already waiting for and of which we already have information, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, but they are also the future Call of Duty Black Ops and Call of Duty: Warzone 2 which will also emerge in the years to come. Although the information is not official, Schreier says he got it from people familiar with the case.

We also learn in passing the future release ofa new iteration of Activision’s Battle Royale, Call of Duty: Warzone 2. Warzone having accustomed us to an update system and being the first Call of Duty to have actually lived longer than a single year, it’s somewhat surprising to see that the studio is working on a second Warzone. We will therefore indeed find it on Playstation but only on new-gen consoles, Xbox Series, PC and therefore also PS5.
Microsoft and Phil Spencer had already ensured the maintenance of the Call of Duty license on Playstation last week, it is now a figure that is proposed to us, three games. Is it that only these three games will be released on Playstation in the future where will the rest of the series be there right? At the moment we cannot know. However, this is still good news for all fans of the license and Playstation players. Now we just have to wait for more information about these games, although we already know a lot about the future Modern Warfare 2.
