Like in his comedy “Old School”: Will Ferrell rocks a party at his son’s university.

This brings back memories of Will Ferrell’s (56) film “Old School”: As in the 2003 comedy, in which a few men in mid-life crises recapture the fun of their college years, the actor was now a star guest at a university party. Videos appeared on TikTok of the comedian DJing the crowd at a party.

The party for the Sigma Alpha Mu fraternity of the University of Southern California (USC) in Los Angeles took place before a football game between the USC team and the University of Arizona Wildcats. Will Ferrell stands at the DJ booth wearing sunglasses and an outfit in the colors of the college football team. The actor turns the buttons with a feignedly cool gesture. In a video he claps with the crowd to “Eye of the Tiger”, the motivational classic from Sylvester Stallone’s (77) “Rocky III” from 1982.

Will Ferrell also played the song “N****s in Paris” by rappers Kanye West (46) and Jay-Z (53). The song samples a quote from Ferrell from the film “The Ice Princes”.

Party appearance as a double family affair

For Will Ferrell, his stint at the university was a family affair. His eldest son Magnus (19) is currently studying at USC. In doing so, he is following in his father’s footsteps. He studied sports journalism there and left the university in 1990 with a bachelor’s degree.

Will Ferrell has felt a connection to his alma mater for a long time. In 2017, he gave a speech at the graduation ceremony and was awarded an honorary doctorate.
