Guest on the show We are remaking the TV sure RTL, he returned to some of his speeches which created controversy. Among them, his comparison of Covid-19 to a "grippette" or the accusations of plagiarism against him. However, the former sidekick of Marina Carrère d'Encausse does not intend to censor himself. As for the many jokes (often daring) he was able to throw on the set of his show The health magazine, he assumes them all. "People know me. They know it's just kindness and humor to have a good laugh," he stressed.
Before continuing: "I don't censor myself! (…) Quite frankly, I'll tell you with the greatest of franchises: I don't give a damn about what is said on the networks about my humor, about what I do. did, on what I said! ". Far from stopping there, he added: "I don't give a damn about the reviews on some shows that freak out over the smallest news that doesn't matter … I don't care.". However, Michel Cymes clarified: "I don't give a damn about constructive criticism. If they say that I do not present a show well, that I am a bad actor … that this, that that is everyone's right, but everything else, I don't care! "
Michel Cymes makes his mea culpa
Michel Cymes took the opportunity to make his mea culpa again on the comments he made regarding the coronavirus. "At times, I did not live up to what was expected of me. I said things contrary to what I thought myself, I took a step back from everything it", he admitted. So, he explained why he said the mask was not useful at the start of the pandemic: "On March 17, when I do the first premium on the Covid and I say, or that I let the guests say that the mask in the street is useless, except for those affected by the disease, I say to myself 'do you really believe what you are saying?' And if I ask myself the question, it is because I do not believe it. Instead of saying good, today we have to tell you that because we don't have any masks ". According to him, if he had said what he meant "really", he would have created "riots".
