Will Modern Warfare 2 have a beta? What we know

While Modern Warfare 2 is more and more talked about, many players are wondering if the game will be entitled to a multiplayer beta and if so, when it will take place.

Vanguard has been out for several months now and, as is the norm with Activision’s franchise, the arrival of a new title is starting to loom on the horizon.

For a long time, players were only treated to multiple vague leaks regarding a sequel to Modern Warfare 2019, but recently they have been confirmed, hinting at the arrival of Modern Warfare 2, which would focus on the conflict between the drug cartels in Colombia.

Modern Warfare 2 is eagerly awaited by players.

While the gameplay of this next title has already started to leak, only one question remains: will players be entitled to a beta?

Will there be a multiplayer beta for Modern Warfare 2?

For now, Activision has not confirmed the existence of a beta, but it is more than likely that there will be one.

Of course, as always, nothing is guaranteed until it’s officially announced, but given that recent titles in the franchise have all had a beta before release, there’s no reason for that to change.

After all, the dev studios use it to get early feedback on the game, isolate obvious bugs and issues, which is supposed to make the game launch a smooth one.

Modern Warfare 2 is expected in late 2022, most likely October or November. If a multiplayer beta is to take place, it will probably occur in late summer or early fall, which would coincide with those of previous titles.

If we rely on what has been done previously, the beta will take place over a weekend and, at least initially, will only be open to players who have pre-ordered the game. To be continued.
