The start of the school year is fast approaching and a question comes up over and over again: Will parents be able to enter school and accompany their child on the day of the start of the school year?
As the new school year approaches, parents’ concerns are increasingly present. At the end of the Council of Ministers, Thursday, August 26, Jean Castex was on RTL’s antenna recalling the news expected for the start of the 2021 school year.
First of all from a health point of view, whereas for the previous year the teaching in attendance was possible thanks to the implementation of a strict protocol.
For the start of the September 2021 school year, the rules are changing:
The government is considering several scenarios this year, accompanied by a protocol that evolves according to the health situation, in order to put in place proportionate measures.
To do this, a graduation in four levels has been established, going from level 1 in green to level 4 in red. A plan allowing national education as well as parents to start the school year calmly.

However, one question remains to be clarified: Will parents be able to enter the school, as is the tradition, on the first day of the school year?
The answer is yes ! Vaccinated or not, parents of children entering kindergarten class can accompany their toddlers in the classroom. It is of course necessary to respect the barrier gestures when you enter the premises of the establishment and the classroom: wearing a mask, washing hands etc …
For older children, the rules are the same, parents can accompany their children to the director or the childcare center, for example.
