Actor Will Smith continues to unpack about his relationships. He now says Oprah Winfrey that he has the feeling that he “disappoints every woman”.
US star Will Smith (53) has written off a lot of interpersonal baggage with his autobiography “Will”, which will be released on November 9th. In a detailed interview, he will also talk to talk icon Oprah Winfrey (67) about his life and relationships.
In a teaser, published by Apple TV + for Friday’s episode of “The Oprah Conversation,” Smith says he wanted to write a book that “tells the truth” about him. Among other things, the conversation with Winfrey will probably also be about his two marriages, because Will Smith says in the teaser: “For most of my life I had the feeling that I disappointed every woman I had dealt with. I have about that never spoken publicly. “
From 1992 to 1995 he was married to actress Sheree Zampino (53). The couple had a son, Trey Smith, in 1992. He has been married to actress Jada Pinkett Smith (50) since 1997. They became parents of son Jaden (23) and daughter Willow (21).
In love with strangers in the first marriage
In the memoirs, the “Men in Black” star writes, among other things, that he “fell in love” with a colleague during his first marriage, when he had just become a father. “To make matters worse, I fell in love with Stockard Channing while we were filming.” While his romantic feelings for the now 77-year-old “Life – A Six-Pack” colleague (1993) grew, their relationship remained professional, according to Smith.
In addition, Will Smith was apparently unable to give up his role of the charismatic cheater Paul Poitier even after the shooting ended. “Sheree and I had a newborn baby in the first few months of our marriage, and I imagine that experience for Sheree was troubling to say the least,” writes Smith according to “People” magazine in his autobiography about another disappointing moment. “She had married a man named Will Smith and was now living with a man named Paul Poitier.”
After the film was finished, Will Smith and his small family moved back to Los Angeles from New York, but he couldn’t get the other actress out of his head. “I was desperate to see and speak to Stockard,” he admits.
