Prince William and Princess Kate visited primary school students at a forest school on Thursday. Among other things, they helped with cooking.

While visiting Hereford Prince William, 41, and his wife, Princess Kate, 41, found out about the work of a so-called forest school. Pictures from the appointment show the two of them talking to the children or watching William saw through a branch.

Children learn everything about the forest

The according to the British Daily Mail The primary school students take part in the Madley Primary School program once a week. Among other things, they should be taught about ecology or learn how to make things from materials that nature provides. The children are also shown how to safely use tools or knives in the forest, for example for carving.

According to the report, the branch that William sawed was said to have been used, among other things, to build a shelter. Her own children, Prince George, 10, Princess Charlotte, 8, and Prince Louis, 5, received books as gifts. The prince and his wife also helped prepare a small meal around the campfire, as a clip showswhich was posted on the royals’ Instagram account.

William and Kate also went to Kings Pitt Farm. There they chatted with, among others, Sam and Emily Stables, the founding couple of the charity “We are Farming Minds”. This works locally for the mental health of farmers. Offers include a free help hotline and support with the costs of professional psychological advice.
