William and Kate: They donate a million dollars

Prince William and Duchess Kate have announced a major charity campaign. With their Royal Foundation they donate a million euros.

Prince William (38) and Duchess Kate (38) continue to campaign for mental health and frontline workers during the coronavirus pandemic. With their Royal Foundation, they donate £ 1.8m (equivalent to just under € 2m) to ten relevant aid organizations. A separate fund has been set up for this. The couple announced this on their official Instagram account.

Help for ten charities

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge personally discussed the fundraiser earlier this week with representatives from four organizations that benefit from the fund. At the outdoor appointment, Prince William appeared in dark trousers, a light blue jacket and a white shirt unbuttoned at the collar. Wife Kate was wearing a white blouse dress with a high collar and half-length sleeves with dark patterns.

Duchess Kate said, among other things, that the coronavirus pandemic would have "a lasting impact" on the mental health of the emergency services. The money is also intended to support schools for mental health support services. The charities are Mind, Hospice UK, The Ambulance Staff Charity, Campaign Against Living Miserably (CALM), Best Beginnings, Anna Freud National Center, Place2Be, Shout 85258, The Mix and YoungMindsUK. Hospice UK offers all trainees at the front individual trauma advice.
