William Leymergie is lucky in love. The former presenter of Telematin has been in a relationship for 45 long years with stylist Maryline Robin. Still madly in love, William Leymergie had fondly remembered their meeting, in the columns of Paris Match in 2015 : "I was at the table, Mary came to my left. When I saw this beautiful brunette with blue eyes, very discreet, who exuded intelligence, approaching me, I understood that she was the chance of my life. A gift of this size only happens once ", he explained. William Leymergie then had "done everything to seduce her" : "I was at the same time funny, nice, in love, imaginative, gallant. I had become a love grenade ready to explode". His efforts paid off as Maryline Robin, whom he affectionately nicknamed Mary, agreed to marry him in 1975 and subsequently gave him three beautiful children born in the 80s : Géry, Sacha and Anna.
On the occasion of the release of his latest book Mirebalais or forbidden love (Ed. Albin Michel) in bookstores from Wednesday March 31, 2021, William Leymergie confided in this love which resists the passage of time. The 74-year-old presenter took the opportunity to distill his advice to married men: “Too few husbands realize that a marriage is a marathon. We must maintain the relationship daily, by a word, a gesture, a look … ", he assured in the columns of S, Sophie Davant's magazine Thursday, March 18, 2021. Maryline Robin makes his job a lot easier: "She apologizes and forgives a lot many things, and I find that in the world we live in, with these social networks that make us permanent judges, that's a pretty nice quality ", he confided in 2017 in Gala. After all these years, William Leymergie has become a real expert: "What matters (…) is respecting the freedom of the other, his choices and have complete confidence. At one time, I said to myself, deep down with Mary, we are two loners who have found each other ".
William Leymergie honors women
The former star of France 2 officiates today on C8 where he hosts his show William at noon since 2017. When choosing his collaborators for this new adventure, William Leymergie preferred to surround himself with columnists, and for good reason: "I was happier working with women. They are more creative, less ruled by ambition, more subtle, more charming … while playing several parts in the same day. With them, there is no no 'corones' problems. I find the men a little too clumsy ".
