Tired of trailers that reveal too much about the plot of the film and leave you with no surprises? Good news: you will enjoy the family melodrama Love Life. Indeed, there is no question of saying or showing too much in the first images of the feature film, presented in official competition at the Venice Film Festival in 2022!

LEAVE THE SPECTATOR SURPRISED

“When I direct a film, I always hope to be able to represent on the screen a feeling of surprise equivalent to the unpredictability of our existence,” explains Japanese filmmaker Kôji Fukada, to whom we owe Harmonium and the diptych Follow me, I’m fleeing you / Flee from me, I’m following you.

Her new drama tells the story of Taeko, who lives with her husband Jiro and son Keita across from her in-laws. As she discovers the existence of a former fiancée of her husband, Keita’s biological father resurfaces. It’s the start of a cruel game of musical chairs, from which no one will emerge unscathed… But the heart of the plot is to be discovered on the big screen from June 14, as its trailer specifies, and its display.
