Available since February on Windows 11, Android applications continue to benefit from special care from Microsoft. Indeed, the functionality long awaited by users still leaves a lot of room for improvement and the Redmond firm has understood this. Regularly, the latter therefore deploys updates in order to correct some bugs and optimize its operation, as was the case in July.

Rebelote this month therefore, with a new update that brings its share of improvements. Android subsystem version 2206.40000.15.0 focuses on gaming apps, although several other bugs have also been fixed. On the other hand, note that it is currently only available in the United States, although it should not be long in arriving in our regions. Of course, you must have a PC running Windows 11 to take advantage of it.

Here is the list of Android subsystem improvements on Windows 11

The main improvement of this update is at the level of keyboard support by applications. Thus, games compatible with a joystick can now be played on the keyboard, the movements having been reconfigured for the WASD keys (which will probably become ZQSD once the update is available in France). Similarly, controller support has also been optimized. Added to this is the ability to aim and slide with the arrow keys in the corresponding games.
