Microsoft has already released Windows 11, but those interested can already get a taste of upcoming features in developer builds. However, these are not always immediately obvious in such builds and some users, such as the hacker Albacore, may find out features that Microsoft does not want to show yet.
According to the technology magazine Tom’s Hardware, Build 25300 now shows a new file explorer and in this in turn a new gallery function based on XAML (“Extensible Application Markup Language”).
Both the explorer and the gallery feature are actually disabled in the build, but access can be achieved with a few tricks and the activation of optional, hidden features.
The file explorer should be the same as the current one. Only an icon in the picture should indicate that you are viewing a preview of a Windows App SDK Explorer.

The gallery shows images in an “attractive format” according to Tom’s Hardware. In addition, navigation is possible using the year and an internal search.
The explorer and the new gallery are apparently not yet in a release-worthy state. It is criticized that the file explorer is still unstable and that the search in the gallery is in need of improvement. The identification of images only works via the file name.
