Too many users on the web are still using the same password for too many sites. The simple reason for this is often pure convenience, which, however, carries great risks. Windows 11 could now get a new feature from Microsoft that should “force” you to be more creative in the future.

As the Redmond company announced on the official blog for Windows Insiders, participants will now receive a new display as part of the Microsoft Defender SmartScreen. In it you will be reminded of the risks. At the same time you will be prompted to update your access password for Microsoft services.

It is not known whether you will receive change requests for other programs in the future, but it would not be unreasonable. Passwords stored in the Microsoft profile could very well be checked for repetitions. The feature is still in a very early development phase, when the function will be released is not yet foreseeable.
