The Moment 2 update for Windows 11 22H2 is now available on Windows Update.
Microsoft announces the deployment from February 28, 2023 of a “ big update ”, codenamed Moment 2.
Always more AI
Intended to complement the Windows 11 22H2 experience, Moment 2 offers a number of improvements and new features. Arguably one of the biggest is an AI-enhanced Bing search box built right into the taskbar, for users who already have access to the new Bing.
Always relative to AI, Microsoft highlights recommended content within the Start menu and speeds up the search for files (local and cloud) in File Explorer. This feature is currently exclusive to Windows 11 Pro.
Many other new features are also arriving, such as Phone Link for iOS, which allows you to control your iPhone on Windows 11 (reserved for insiders for the moment), as you can already do on Android. The integration of Microsoft Teams has improved, the OS puts even more emphasis on news and practical information (weather, traffic, etc.), and new widgets are available (Phone Link, Xbox Game Pass, Meta, Spotify…). In addition, the screen capture tool now supports video capture, the notebook has tabs, the touch experience has been revised, and new accessibility options are offered, including the braille display.
How to install the Moment 2 update on your PC?
As usual, the easiest way to download and install the update is through Windows Update. To benefit from it, the PC system must be under version 22H2 of Windows 11. So go to Windows Update Settings, then click on the “Check for updates” button.
The Redmond company specifies that the deployment begins today, but the availability of the update will be progressive. It is therefore possible that you will have to be patient before it is offered to you.
In addition, Microsoft warns that all of the new features integrated into Windows 11 with this update will be active through the monthly security update of March 2023. All the new features implemented are therefore not fully functional as of today. .
