As reported to us by the site Neowin, desktop backgrounds are likely to be the next AI targets in Windows 11. Build 25309 contains various elements that mention AI-powered effects for wallpapers. From the PC customization settings, the “Depth effects” section has appeared. This allows, as its name suggests, to add depth effects to desktop backgrounds, on compatible devices.
Since AI requires a lot of resources, it is true that some questions still hang over the use of this new feature in Windows 11. A priori, wallpapers powered by AI should be able to animate by simply moving the mouse cursor. This option is currently only in the test phase, so it will take a lot of patience before seeing it land in the stable version of the operating system.
