In Build 25115 for insiders, and only in the United States for the moment, Microsoft offers a welcome novelty in Windows 11 : contextualized actions.

Clearly an element that it was time to add to the OS.

Windows 11: suggested actions for more efficiency

Here’s a feature that could be useful to all Windows 11 users when it arrives in the operating system in several months: suggested actions. As the two captures below show very well, these are concretely pop-up windows that are displayed when a telephone number, time or date is copied, in order to offer to call directly or create an event with the application of your choice (Edge, Teams, Outlook, Calendar…etc.). We imagine that this layout with two shortcuts and an arrow to choose another application (?) is bound to change.

This new feature can be tested by insiders in Build 25115, but only those residing in the United States. For the others, you will have to wait. Likewise, this version is not compatible with ARM64 PCs, but Microsoft “hopes” to be able to offer a new build to these users soon.

There’s a little left, shall I give it to you?

This is not the only element present in this version or in test at Microsoft. Indeed, bug fixes (and new known concerns) at all levels (taskbar, file explorer, settings, task manager, etc.) are also there. The firm also recalls that a new preview version of its home recording software is also offered to insiders in the Dev Channel.

As the Redmond company discreetly reminds us, Microsoft Build 2022 will be held on May 24 and there is no doubt that this feature and many others will be shown or announced.
