Windows 11 will soon manage the RGB effects of your peripherals

As RGB peripheral users know, managing lighting across products to achieve a cohesive effect can be a headache. Especially when the number of brands and devices is constantly increasing.

Attempts to bring brands together and create software to unify device control have taken place, but these initiatives have remained the exception.

Apparently Microsoft wants to take the problem head on since a user has unearthed in build 25295 of Windows 11 reserved for developers an option to activate an RGB lighting customization menu.

So, according to the screenshots posted by @Albacore, Windows 11 automatically detects compatible devices in the “Personalization” tab of the “Settings” menu. For each device, it is thus possible to adjust the brightness, the type of effect, the speed, the colors and the correspondence with the accent color used in Windows.

This new option, if made permanent in Windows 11, is good news for users. This will make it possible to dispense with the slew of software designed by the various manufacturers of RGB products which consume just as many processor resources.
