Microsoft’s operating system has many functions implemented years ago and forgotten over the course of uses that have evolved. This is particularly the case with this option which allows you to perform a forced restart of the PC if the start button does not respond or if you simply do not have access to it.
To perform a forced restart, simply perform the following manipulation:
- CTRL+ALT+DELETE
- Click on the shutdown icon while holding CTRL
- Click OK
Obviously, this last-ditch manipulation aims to force Windows to restart, regardless of its state. Open and unsaved documents will therefore be lost.
Another well-known tip for troubleshooters: access to troubleshooting mode by holding down the SHIFT key. It allows you to restart a PC in particular in order to launch Windows in safe mode, but also to use a bootable key or even to launch a command prompt. To do this, hold the SHIFT (SHIFT) key when you click Restart.
These two options are part of a multitude of shortcuts and functions born over the iterations of Windows, that the most seasoned users have kept and that young people are discovering today.
