Whether from a balcony in Zurich Wiedikon or the pool edge of the Käpfnach Badi – Didi is known for his creatively staged performances. This time, too, he came up with something special and, together with Sony Music, set up a showcase in the port of the Enge boat rental – an event that not only the guests on site, but also the several thousand people who saw the performance live via TikTok haunted, not soon to be forgotten.
Concert with a view of Lake Zurich
Against the darkening sky, the 30-year-old from Zurich opened his set from the bow of a motor boat slowly approaching the audience, docked and then shifted his performance to the stage decorated with colorful neon tubes and lights. Together with his DJ and guitarist, he then performed a varied sample of his extensive repertoire for around 45 minutes and did not shy away from improvising: “In the middle of the set I noticed that a song was missing that would bring people together . Because although all visitors here have a Covid certificate, they still kept their distance at first. That’s why I decided to spontaneously incorporate «ZZ», an older song of mine, and thus encourage people to dance and jump along. ” In addition to older songs, Didi presented his latest singles “Nazar” and “Asphalt” live for the first time.
Enthusiastic winner
Blick winner Christian and his five friends were among the few invited guests at the event: “When I saw that Blick was giving away tickets for a gig by Didi, I just had to take part. The guy lives Swiss rap – he’s Swiss rap. ” And the atmosphere, he and his friends agree, was just incredible.
Next live concert in October
Anyone who would like to experience Didi live (again) will soon have the opportunity to do so: On October 1st, the rapper invites you to his “Hybrid Show” in Labor5. “I suppose people now expect, because I came by boat this time, that the next time I will fly in by helicopter,” says Didi and laughs. “But no, seriously, what people expect are simply good vibes, great sound and a good atmosphere.” More than reason enough to write the event down in the calendar.
