Winners have been chosen – Prima la musica: Little stage stars won

Top musical performances were offered this week at the CMA Ossiach: 290 talents demonstrated their skills on three stages. Everyone who took part in the 16 categories took away their personal victory. And there was a record: 88 musicians, who are among the country’s elite, will continue to fight for a place on the podium at the national competition in South Tyrol from mid-May.

Applause, you were great – all 290 boys and girls who took part in this year’s prima la musica competition by Youth Music. The state music competition has also been accompanied by the “Kärntner Krone” for many years. The final spurt was Friday, where we were also there at the CMA-Ossiach.Music is the most beautiful language in the world “Music is the most beautiful language in the world, for me that means everything,” says violinist Letizia Lamb. The woman from Spittal visits the talent factory of the Johannes Brahms Conservatory in Klagenfurt. She has a soft spot for the jazz violin: “Classical music is great, emotions float through it. With jazz I improvise, I feel freer.”WhirlwindAnastazja Piotrowicz comes running out of the Alban Berg concert hall like a little whirlwind: “Hurrah, we did it.” The percussion trio called Power Percussion really heated up: “That’s totally cool “We’re going to the national competition,” say Aaron and Lukas. All musicians also master the basic musical basics such as staccato, pianissimo, legato. No one is unfamiliar with Mozart or Beethoven. “It doesn’t work without music, I decided to study,” says guitarist Samuele Ogris. Marathon program The 16-year-old is one of the talents who competed in the plus group. “This is the highest age group that already has to complete a marathon program at the competition,” says prima la musica organizer Lisa Leitich. Gold was awarded to 15 talents and silver to one musician. Because twelve ensembles and 26 soloists, that’s 73 musicians, are also going to the national competition – 18. May to June 1st in Brixen (South Tyrol). 62 talented musicians won 1st prize with distinction, 94 young musicians won 1st prize. Brunner: “Children, you were just great.”
