Winter films or Christmas films? Both!
The days are getting shorter, greyer, darker, colder. But it doesn’t do anything. To avoid falling into the winter blues, it’s important to keep yourself busy. The great thing about the fourth season: You don’t even have to leave the house for many winter activities. Since we don’t miss anything outside anyway, we finally have the time in winter that we missed in summer. We can make ourselves comfortable on the sofa without feeling guilty, make some tea or, even better, hot chocolate and put our feet up.
To help us get in the right mood, we in the editorial team have collected our favorite winter Christmas films. You can watch it to usher in winter, to prepare for the Christmas spirit or simply to immerse yourself in strange worlds. Because one thing unites them all: These films all give you a cozy, warm, snuggle-at-home, cozy-everything-is-well feeling. And in adulthood, we lost exactly these emotions and the anticipation of Christmas far too quickly, right?! Time to remember and be a little kid again. That’s why one or two family films made it onto our list.

By the way, we have everything: classic Christmas films, but also a few stories that have nothing to do with Advent but take place in winter. This much can be revealed: “The Grinch” and “Love Actually” are of course not to be missed.
