Winter: Useful gadgets for winter

Icy car windows, cold fingers: There are numerous gadgets that solve these problems and make everyday winter life easier.

The cold season is beginning again: These gadgets keep us warm even in winter – regardless of whether the temperature is below zero or a thick blanket of snow covers the streets.

Warm hands

If you have to go outside despite the Corona crisis and low temperatures, there are rechargeable hand warmers for you. Some good models are available for well under 30 euros. Some devices are even combined with a power bank and can therefore also charge the smartphone in case the battery weakens again.

As a rule, it is not possible to operate a smartphone with conventional gloves. That is why there are now numerous different glove alternatives that make it possible to continue typing on the touchscreen of a smartphone without having to take them off.

So your feet don't freeze either

If you prefer to keep your feet warm, there are heated socks, for example. Here too, many models are equipped with rechargeable batteries. But be careful: Before the socks are washed, the battery must of course be removed. Depending on the temperature setting, the socks should provide heating for several hours. If you want to use the whole thing at home, classic foot warmers are of course an alternative.

Meanwhile, hat wearers can opt for models that have integrated headphones or small speakers. This is particularly practical for sports, as there are no cables in the way. In addition, there is no risk of the headphones falling out of your ear or sliding off your head.

Warmth in the car

Steering wheel covers help keep hands from getting too cold in the car. There are many different variants, for example made of plush or heatable. The latter, however, should not be connected to the cigarette lighter while driving, otherwise the cable could interfere and in the worst case even lead to an accident.

Instead, an additional interior heater helps to raise the general temperature inside the vehicle and to de-ice the windows before you go to work, for example. Then you should be able to do without one of the steering wheel covers already mentioned, for example.
