The District Court of Winterthur sentenced the 29-year-old to a fine of 1,800 francs on Tuesday for repeatedly public warning of traffic controls. In addition, he must assume the procedural costs. The public prosecutor had demanded a fine of 16,200 francs. According to the indictment, the fault weighs heavily. The reason: the accused reached an indefinite number of people with the publication of the controls on Instagram. The Insta channel «szeneishwinti_blog», which has since been deleted, had almost 6,500 subscribers.
The court saw it differently. As the judge said in the statement of reasons, it is not a serious case. For example, the location of the controls was not always clearly indicated in the Instagram stories uploaded. The account was also not specialized in warning of traffic controls. The 29-year-old was satisfied after the verdict: “My goal was to get a bus that would not affect my standard of living. I achieved that. ” He will therefore not move the verdict any further.
