Witbe signs a new commercial agreement for its Witbox+

New commercial agreement for the leader in quality of user experience monitoring Witbe. It is signed with United Cloud, a technology consulting company based in Europe (Serbia, Slovenia and Switzerland), to help it produce better quality digital services for its customers. This contract confirms Witbe’s current good momentum, which in April signed another contract, worth 4 million euros, with one of the largest American cable operators, whose identity is n was not disclosed.

The two companies have already been collaborating since 2019 on the assurance of high definition video quality for United Cloud set-top boxes (TV decoders). The Serbian consulting company has notably developed a video streaming platform, EON, allowing the viewing of more than 19,000 films, series or other content, and which is used mainly in Eastern Europe in more than a million households. From now on, the extension of the partnership will allow United Cloud to use the new Witbox+ developed by Witbe, a tool that allows remote control of video quality, not only on TV decoders but on any consumer device such as Smart TVs or mobile phones.

Gain in productivity

The quality measurement specialist explains that its new Witbox range improves the productivity of video quality control which was previously done “through long and difficult measurement campaigns, involving significant human intervention “. According to Sergej Berisaj, Chief Technology Officer of United Cloud, Witbox+ will ” optimize current testing streams and provide the best possible user experience on all supported platforms “. The tool will be used in particular to carry out automatic quality assurance tests, which will more effectively correct defects degrading the customer experience.

No details concerning the amount of the contract are advanced. However, the commercialization of Witbox+ should allow the company to earn revenue related to the launch, maintenance and subscriptions to Witbe functionalities.
