Witches witch: Shortly after the cinema release already seen on TV

In the corona-related partial lockdown, some highlights are waiting for film fans. Not only "Witches witch" with Anne Hathaway can be seen in the home theater.

The stricter Corona requirements in Germany ensure that cinemas are closed again in November. The remake of "Hexen hexen" by director Robert Zemeckis (68, "Back to the Future") only started in Germany on October 29th. Anyone who missed the fantasy comedy with Oscar winners Anne Hathaway (37, "Ocean's 8") and Octavia Spencer (50, "The Help") on the big screen can only watch it a week later in the partial lockdown home theater on Sky look at.

This is what "witches witches" is about

"Witches witches" tells the story of an orphan boy named Bruno who moved to his loving grandmother (Octavia Spencer) in the rural town of Demopolis in Alabama at the end of 1967. When the boy and his grandmother meet some deceptively glamorous but thoroughly devilish witches, Grandma cleverly ships Bruno to an opulent seaside resort. Unfortunately, they arrive there at exactly the same time as the High Grand Master Witch of the World (Anne Hathaway) has gathered her companions from all parts of the globe – under a false identity – to carry out her nefarious plans.

From Saturday, November 7th, 2020, "Hexen hexen" will be available on demand from Sky and can be seen with the Sky Ticket streaming service. On Friday, November 13, 2020, the film will start at 8:15 p.m. on Sky Cinema premieres.

Films that skipped the cinema

"Hexen hexen" is not the only film highlight that can be seen earlier than usual on the smaller screens. "Mulan", "Artemis Fowl" and "The Only True Ivan" never even got to the cinema. These three films are now available from the streaming provider Disney +.

Meanwhile, Borat has returned to Amazon Prime Video. "Borat Anschluss Moviefilm" alias "Borat 2" is the name of the continuation of the weird mockumentary with British actor Sacha Baron Cohen (49) in the title role of the Kazakh television reporter. This film did not make it to the cinema either, but was released directly as a stream.

As early as spring, at the beginning of the Corona crisis, film highlights came to fans via streaming instead of in the cinema. The animated film "Trolls World Tour" was the first to be available in the living room from April. "Berlin, Berlin – Der Film", the continuation of the popular series with Felicitas Woll (40), was released in May via Netflix.
