With 48 inch screen – This giant grill luxury van means business!

Somehow he looks like a caricature of a van. Such exaggeratedly large radiator grilles are otherwise only found on disfigured BMWs, which are doing the rounds on social media with exaggerated kidneys. But this is a real vehicle of special luxury: It is the Lexus LM.

Lexus brings this luxury van LM to Europe. The revised version of the 5.12 meter long seven-seater celebrated its premiere at the Shanghai show and is also expected to compete outside of Asia with VW Multivan, Hyundai Staria and Co. The core market of the LM has so far been China, where the so-called MPVs are not just families – but are also popular as comfortable business cars. Accordingly, the new edition is also available as a four-seater chauffeur-driven vehicle. Regardless of the number of seats, the Lexus van relies on a body in the sharp-edged style of the brand. The typical Diabolo radiator grille can also be found in a special form on the front. Just bigger than you are used to from cars. The passengers reach the rear via two sliding doors on the side, where a gigantic 48-inch screen can display films or business video conferences in the four-seater. In addition, an intelligent and individual air conditioning control is used in all variants, which uses an infrared sensor to measure the temperature on various body parts of the occupants and automatically adjusts the ventilation. Lexus has not yet made any statements about the drive. In the predecessor, customers had the choice between a conventional V6 petrol engine and two hybrids based on four cylinders. Pricing and launch schedule are unknown.
