A new motorhome brand is launching under the name City. Westfalia and Dreamer were the godfathers of the development. The brand new Ford Transit Custom serves as the basis.

Ford has just brought a new version of the Transit Custom onto the market, and the developers are piling on the capable basis. Bürstner, for example, recently presented the Copa on this basis. Now the next 2024 model, the “City”, is in the starting blocks.
City by Dreamer in pictures
City is a brand new sub-brand of Dreamer. Dreamer, in turn, belongs to the French Rapido group, where the Westfalia brand is also based. It is hardly surprising that the new brand bears the signature of these well-known companies.
The City does not appear completely out of nowhere. The camper, which is only five meters long, is ideal as a first vehicle for everyday use and vacation alike, as it has a flexible interior. It also comes with superior safety and comfort equipment ex works. This includes automatic air conditioning and various assistance systems. An automatic transmission with eight gearshifts and all-wheel drive are optional.
The campervan is very flexible when it comes to seating. In addition to the two rotating driver and passenger seats, you can order the City with two individual seats in the rear instead of the usual bench seat. Then special upholstered parts in the rear ensure that you can also sleep below.
The City’s main bed is located on the second floor under the pop-up roof. There is space for two adults in an area of just under two meters and a width of 1.30 meters. A diesel auxiliary heater is available so that it doesn’t get too cold in autumn and winter.
In such small vehicles, cooking is preferably done in front of the mobile. There is no permanent gas installation, which means that the rather annoying but necessary regular gas check is no longer necessary. A gas cartridge stove is available for the first cup of coffee in the morning. There is also a 25 liter refrigerator inside.
Price and availability
The 5.05 x 2.03 x 2.04 meter long City will be available from spring 2024 starting at 61,700 euros. There is no specific date for the market launch yet.
