Patrick Kanner was the guest of Europe 1 this Thursday morning. At the microphone of Lionel Gougelot, the president of the Socialist, Ecologist and Republican group in the Senate castigated the policy of Emmanuel Macron. According to him, it would only serve the interest of the richest to the detriment of the middle and popular classes.

Patrick Kanner does not have the same vision of society as the President of the Republic. At the microphone of Lionel Gougelot this Thursday morning on Europe 1, the socialist senator estimated that Emmanuel Macron always favored the rich. “With him, it’s always the rich who win,” he said.

“I never believed that there was left in the macronie”

The former minister thus believes that the “right-winging of the president and his government is obvious”. “I never believed that there was left in the macronie. There is mostly right and right. And again, the measures that have been taken, especially in terms of the power of purchase, are patch measures, simple support measures, almost alms measures through various and multiple bonuses and checks”, insists Patrick Kanner on Europe 1.

A conception of society based on privileges

“There is not what we wanted, namely a substantive commitment to fair and sustainable wage increases, the creation of a wage conference in September or October and, for example, also the opening social rights for young people under the age of 25”, he continues. Patrick Kanner recognizes that not everything is to be thrown away in the text on purchasing power. “That’s why we abstained”, underlines Patrick Kanner, for whom “there are things that are going in the right direction”, such as the deconjugalization of the disabled adult allowance, but “not far enough” .

Patrick Kanner deplores the fact that the exceptional tax measure on superprofits has been swept away. “Things are always going in the same direction. Some positive measures, I grant you, but above all a conception of society that is not ours and which is essentially based on privileges”, concludes the senator.
