A drug driver was particularly brazen on the Tauern Autobahn on Sunday afternoon. The 24-year-old not only ignored the police, he also talked on the phone while driving and sped away from the officers. They caught him after all.
The police were conducting speed checks on the Tauern Autobahn on Sunday afternoon when they noticed a speeder. When they started to pursue him, the driver ignored numerous stop signs. During the journey, the man from Salzburg made abrupt lane changes, overtook on the right and made a call on his cell phone. The officers called for reinforcements and the speeder was finally caught near Siezenheim and forced to stop. The police also called a medical officer, who diagnosed the 24-year-old as being impaired by drugs. The man from Salzburg was driving his father’s car when he fled. He will be reported.
