Sony is always more serious about the presence of its PlayStation ecosystem on PC. This is evidenced by the upcoming arrival of the portage of Ghost of Tsushima Director’s Cutbut above all that of the new tools that come with it.
On May 16, PC players who do not own a PS5/PS4 will be able to discover the friendly fort Ghost on Tsushima Director’s Cut on their machine. In addition to this new port which further proves Sony’s desire to invest in the PC world to reach more players, this date should be of particular interest to those who own both machines. Indeed, a new overlay interface will be integrated into this title.
An interface to unify PC and PlayStation
Optional, this new interface can be displayed from the game menus or by pressing the Shift + F1 combination with its keyboard. Once connected to it via a PlayStation Network account, it will display the PlayStation friends list and the player’s profile and, above all, their trophies. Indeed, the trophies normally reserved for Sony consoles can here be unlocked on PC and synchronized if you also have the PS5 or PS4 version.
The achievements to be unlocked via Steam or the Epic Games Store do not change and can also be. There is no doubt that this overlay should soon arrive in other Sony titles on PC, such as games Horizon, Spiderman, The Last of Us or Helldiverse 2.
The configurations of Ghost of Tsushima Director’s Cut are there
In its blog post, Sony also revealed the different configurations required to play Ghost of Tsushima Director’s Cut. Unsurprisingly, to play in the best conditions in 4K at 60 FPS you will need to be well equipped (16 GB of RAM, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4080
or AMD Radeon RX 7900 XT and Intel Core i5-11400 or AMD Ryzen 5 5600). 75 GB of space will be required on your hard drive or ideally SSD.
Support for ultra-wide screens (including three screens) is included, while DLSS 3, FSR 3 and XeSS are there to improve performance. Remember that this Director’s Cut includes the base game, the expansion Iki Island and Legends mode in cooperative multiplayer. Crossplay between PC, PS5 and PS4 will be supported for the latter, with the possibility of using in-game voice chat, provided you connect to a PlayStation Network account.
