Nagelsmann is said to be negotiating with PSG

Paris Saint-Germain becomes French champion – and wins nothing else. That’s not enough for the club’s demands, so he’s looking for a new coach. The preferred candidate is said to be Julian Nagelsmann, and negotiations have already been held, according to France.
According to a media report, Bayern Munich’s ex-coach Julian Nagelsmann could become the new coach at Paris Saint-Germain. Nagelsmann is to succeed Christophe Galtier, who only took up the position last year, as reported by the French newspaper “L’Équipe”. An agreement is imminent. The former French world champion Thierry Henry could be hired as his assistant coach. Nagelsmann is currently without a club after being kicked out at Bayern in spring. In addition to Nagelsmann, other great coaches such as José Mourinho or Luis Enrique have recently been traded, but Nagelsmann is said to be the favorite for the job.
According to France, Nagelsmann and the club’s Qatari decision-makers have been in contact for a long time. The talks would continue in the coming week. As the “Bild” newspaper reports, FC Bayern, where Nagelsmann is still under contract until 2026 and is said to earn between eight and nine million euros a year, is not aware of any negotiations between their released ex-coach and the big club. However, a quick new commitment from Nagelsmann would save the old and new German champions a lot of money. Nagelsmann himself had recently rejected several offers. Tottenham, Chelsea and most recently Naples were unable to convince the 35-year-old of a commitment.
The team around world champion Lionel Messi, who will definitely leave the club, offensive star Kylian Mbappé and the injured Brazilian Neymar secured the French championship for the eleventh time last week. In the Champions League, however, PSG fell short of expectations, the end came in the round of 16 against Bayern, who were still coached by Nagelsmann at the time.
