What if Apple’s mixed reality headset was ultimately revolutionary? This is what recent rumors seem to claim, detailing some surprising features.

We also understand why the device of the American giant is likely to be sold extremely expensive!

A great innovation… but at what cost?

We are not going to eternally redo the point on this endless soap opera that is that of the mixed reality helmet imagined by Apple. The takeaway for now is that production delays have been piling up and a release is now not expected until next year. Another important aspect, the price of this device could easily climb up to 3000 dollars.

A price that is dissuasive to say the least, which can be explained in part by the revolutionary features of the helmet. Indeed, according to a recent patent application, Apple would like to allow future owners of the device to see elements invisible to the naked eye. Several examples have already been mentioned… And that could change a lot of things.

The future for real?

According to the previously mentioned report, the American firm’s VR/AR headset will allow things such as Wi-Fi signals to be seen. A musician could also admire the sound waves that emanate from an instrument. The object would present other interesting functions in terms of security since it would be used to detect and then visualize gas leaks and heat zones. In the latter case, it would then be easy to detect a fire outbreak.

To top it off, this helmet could actually offer “superpowers” (so to speak) to its wearer by displaying the contents of a closed cupboard thanks to an augmented reality image superposition. In short, all this is promising even if these elements are to be taken with a grain of salt while waiting for an official announcement from Apple.

Several helmets are currently in production, including a premium model. It remains to be seen whether the features mentioned in this article will be available on all versions or only on the most expensive.
