With its new Pocket, Analogue wants to appeal to Game Boy Color lovers (and it works!)

Analogue continues to release its little Pocket in new editions, and this Classic batch might just make your head spin.

Available for several long months now, the Analogue Pocket is this modern replica of the Game Boy console of our childhood, which allows you to launch the original cartridges, while enjoying a display worthy of the name. The small console from Analogue can also accommodate modules, to make it compatible with other cartridges (Game Gear, Neo Geo Pocket, etc.).

At the end of 2023, and after launching a “Glow” version that glows in the dark and Transparent Edition versions, Analogue unveils its new Classic Limited Editions range. The most observant will have already noticed that this is a new salvo, with Analogue Pocket available in numerous colors reminiscent of those of the Game Boy Pocket, Color and Advance of our childhood.

In total, the Analogue Pocket is available in 8 distinct colors, namely red, green, blue, yellow, pink, orange, indigo and silver. The console obviously remains the same as the one we already know, but this allows us to bypass the standard colors of the machine, which are white and black.

Availability: it’s complicated

Unfortunately, since its launch, the Analogue Pocket has been constantly out of stock. The few copies put on sale by the American company generally disappear in a matter of minutes, and it is very (too?) complicated to get your hands on the machine.

This new round of Classic limited edition Analogue Pocket consoles will be available starting tomorrow, November 17. However, as has been the case since the machine was marketed, you will have to be very keen when it goes on sale to get your hands on a copy.

Furthermore, if ordering from France is possible, let us specify that in addition to the 249 dollars necessary for the acquisition of the console, it will be necessary to add shipping costs amounting to approximately €60, without forgetting a tax of equivalent import, which would result in a total of around €370. You have been warned.
