With Know Your Lemons, Boohoo is committed to breast cancer

For Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Boohoo is collaborating with the Know Your Lemons association to create a collection aimed at informing and raising awareness about breast cancer symptoms as well as self-examination.

Each year, October is a breast cancer awareness month, to raise awareness of the disease, raise awareness, and increase support for early detection and to the treatment of the disease. This year, Boohoo has decided to get involved alongside the Know Your Lemons association by creating a collection aimed at informing and raising awareness about the symptoms of breast cancer as well as about self-examination.

In 2017, this association reached nearly a billion people worldwide with its #knowyourlemons campaign ("Learn to know your lemons" in French). With lemons in different shapes and appearances, the association was helping women discover that the change in their breast should alert them as it was a potential symptom of cancer. So the idea was to compare his chest to those lemons, to see if there was a problem or not. Three years later, this assembly is still as useful and necessary as ever.

In total, twelve alarming signs are represented: lump, padded skin, lump, visible veins, retracted nipple, redness, unusual shape, strange fluid that is draining from the breast … If your breast shows any of these signs and / or if you notice a change in your breast, we invite you to consult a doctor promptly.

A committed fashion collection

For this committed collection, Boohoo has imagined underwear in which all women can feel comfortable. For example, we find non-wired bralettes that couldn't be more comfortable, but also satin pajamas and t-shirts with the association's emblematic lemon. Good to know: 100% of the sales of the collection will be donated to the Know Your Lemons association to support their early detection work around the world. An initiative that we can only support!
