With one exception – East Tyrol: District-wide corona measures are ending

The district-wide, stricter corona measures in East Tyrol will expire as planned at the end of this Wednesday. The state of Tyrol announced this. The compulsory departure test for the community of Innervillgraten, which has been in force since August 11, will be extended by another week up to and including September 8.

“While the situation in the district has stabilized overall and chains of infection can largely be traced, we have to extend the observation period for the community of Innervillgraten again,” explained Michael Fankhauser, deputy head of the Corona task force. Although the number of infections has already declined in Innervillgraten, the extent to which these have actually stabilized over the long term will only become apparent in the coming days.

As of Wednesday, 14 people in Innervillgraten were considered to be actively infected with the corona virus. With the extension of the regulation, no events with more than 50 people may still be held. In addition, an FFP2 mask requirement applies to meetings both indoors and outdoors. The compulsory departure test for all persons over the age of twelve has also been extended.

Under 100 infected people in the district
With the expiry of the district-wide measures, events with more than 100 people can again be held in East Tyrol – with the exception of Innervillgraten. The FFP2 mask requirement at all events and in retail also ends again. The seven-day incidence had recently fallen sharply again. On Wednesday, 93 people in the Lienz district were considered to be actively positive.
