There are currently some new e-bike offers at Aldi, including a retro-style city bike. We checked for you how good the offer is.

Even if the temperatures are currently in the basement – the next cycling season is definitely coming! If you want to get on a new e-bike in the spring, you should start looking around now. Because currently the prices are good and the bikes are easily available. This can change quickly as soon as many interested parties visit the dealers. Aldi currently has a number of e-bikes at reasonable prices, including a visual highlight: a retro women’s bike in the color “Polar Sky Matt” (light blue).
The e-bike has 28-inch wheels and a 250-watt front wheel motor from Blaupunkt, which supports you with up to 40 Newton meters. According to the manufacturer, the 497 watt-hour battery lasts up to 130 kilometers.
The bike offers a Shimano hub gear with seven gears, a front rim brake and a coaster brake. The e-bike weighs a total of 27 kilograms (with battery) and has a maximum total weight of 140 kilograms.
Long warranty, home repair service
You get a 3-year warranty, there is also a two-year warranty on the battery and a 10-year warranty on the frame. In addition, the “home repair service” is included.
At a price of 1,000 euros, the e-bike from Prophete is quite impressive. The equipment is decent for the price, and visually it is definitely an eye-catcher. The bike is primarily suitable for the road as there is no suspension apart from the saddle.
The engine is also suitable for slightly more mountainous regions, but it will reach its limits on very steep climbs. In addition, you should not expect the range advertised by the manufacturer. You can achieve this under ideal conditions at the lowest support level. 50 to 60 kilometers is a more realistic value if you rely on higher support.

The retro e-bike from Prophete only costs 999 euros at Aldi, which is 800 euros below the manufacturer’s recommended retail price. Aldi already offered the Pedelec in the summer of 2023, but at that time the discounter was charging 300 euros more for the bike.
