Kool Savas will take on a coaching position on The Voice Rap. The new format also has consequences for the 13th season of the original.
After the already successful “The Voice of Germany” offshoot “The Voice Kids”, there will be a third version of the talent show this year. “The Voice Rap” has been announced for autumn 2023, in which, as the name suggests, everything revolves around rap. Consequently, people who understand something about the matter must also sit on the swivel chairs – this applies to the first revealed coach for the new format like hardly any other: It was announced in a press release that Kool Savas (48) was one of the two coaches will be.
The battle rap great from Berlin is already longing for the start of the new offshoot and at the same time outed himself as a big fan of the original: “I always said to my wife: If I ever take part in a TV show, then it should” The Voice’! Big chance on the main show
Speaking of “The Voice of Germany”: The new 13th season will take place parallel to “The Voice Rap” – and there is a good reason for that. The talented rapper who can win the offshoot moves into the semifinals of the main show alongside his coach and can win it too.
The search for candidates for “The Voice Rap” is in full swing, via the show’s homepage future rap stars can apply. The broadcast schedule provides that the episodes will initially run exclusively on the Joyn streaming service and then be shown on ProSieben a week later.
In the 13th season of “The Voice” this fall, five completely new coaches can sit on the red swivel chairs for the first time. At the beginning of June it was revealed that Shirin David (28), Ronan Keating (46), Giovanni Zarrella (45) and Bill and Tom Kaulitz (both 33) will take over the reins.
