With the RVCL144AB, Hisense takes on the robot vacuum market

Hisense is diversifying and is interested in a field that is becoming more and more democratized: robot vacuum cleaners. If the market is not saturated, it is already well known by some manufacturers such as iRobot, Roborock or Xiaomi. In order to compete with them, Hisense is offering a 2-in-1 robot, which will eventually become the norm in this sector. The RVCL144AB is therefore capable of vacuuming and mopping the floor on user demand.

In this regard, the user must install the ConnectLife application to have access to all the options offered by the robot. In particular, he will be able to adjust the suction power, define prohibited areas or set up scenarios.

To cover the surfaces as well as possible and know its environment, the vacuum cleaner is equipped with a laser rangefinder, this turret protruding from the cover of the robot. With it, the RVCL144AB reaches 9.7 cm, which is still very reasonable for vacuuming under low furniture.

In its shell, the robot hides a 0.5 l dust collector, to which a Hepa filter is attached. While it can be emptied by hand, the vacuum has a base equipped with a 2L dust bag that can be emptied only every 30 days, according to Hisense. To collect dust, precisely, two side brushes are responsible for bringing debris to the main brush with nylon bristles. And to unearth the dirt, the RVCL144AB has a suction power of 4000 Pa (pascals).

To complete the cleaning, the robot vacuum cleaner can wash the floor. To do this, it has a removable 220 ml water tank and two small microfiber mops. Installed on the robot’s hindquarters, they would be able to disinfect the ground using electrolysis technology. Environmentally friendly, this technique combines salt, water and electricity to create a disinfectant with antibacterial properties. This avoids the addition of chemicals.

If the RVCL144AB seems to be a promising robot vacuum cleaner, Hisense has not yet communicated its price or its launch date.
