Washing machines, full auto coffee machines, refrigerators, oil-free fryers… The Turkish company Beko has a substantial catalog of appliances. It is therefore not surprising to see it offer stick vacuum cleaners from time to time. Latest model to date, the VRT96425VD is a device in stick format which seems to have all the tips to make cleaning easier. First of all, the manufacturer chose multicyclonic filtration to separate air from dust, a technology popularized by Dyson in his time.
This change should not overwhelm the user with its novelty. On the other hand, the presence of a base to place on the ground is much more remarkable. This is used to store the vacuum cleaner when not in use but also to recharge it: it is no longer necessary to take out the drill, screws and dowels to install a wall bracket. Above all, as this tends to become the norm, the base is also used for emptying the collector: simply place the VRT96425VD on this support so that its 0.5 liter collector is emptied and the dust is redirected towards a dust bag with a capacity of 4 liters. More anecdotally, the VRT96425VD can operate for 60 minutes (at the lowest power level and without an electro-brush connected) thanks to its removable Li-ion battery. We can therefore theoretically double this autonomy by purchasing an additional battery.
These few new features accompany features that have already been present for some time at Beko, such as the articulated tube which allows you to vacuum far under furniture (Actiflex technology). We also find the LED strip on the suction head, always so practical for illuminating areas under furniture or even dark floors.
The VRT96425VD’s control panel holds no surprises. A general switch turns on the device and a few buttons allow you to choose the suction power (three levels available). We would undoubtedly have preferred a real stopwatch to inform the user about the remaining autonomy (like on the Dyson gen5 Detect), but we will have to make do with simple diodes, which are quite imprecise anyway.
For the moment, we do not know the marketing date of the VRT96425VD, nor its price. However, it is a safe bet that the latter should be around €600,700.
