“With this laugh, it’s not going to do it”: the crazy laughter of Audrey Fleurot and Pierre Niney in an interview

In 2019, when we met them for the release of “Toy Story 4”, Audrey Fleurot and Pierre Niney burst into totally uncontrollable laughter.

Sometimes, the long days of promotion can play into the fatigue of the actors who have come to talk about their latest film. By doing so many interviews and explaining the same things to the channel, it can happen that some people… break down, and are seized with an irrepressible fit of laughter.

This is what happened to Audrey Fleurot and Pierre Niney when we met them in June 2019, on the occasion of the release of Toy Story 4, in which they respectively lent their voices to the adventurous Bergère (absent from the saga since the second opus) and Fourchette, the new character in the film.

(In 2002, for the release of Boulet, Gérard Lanvin and Benoît Poelvoorde also had great difficulty maintaining their seriousness.)

At the start of the interview, things happened in a very classic way. Before moving on to slightly more fun and offbeat questions, we began the meeting with a completely traditional request, and simply invited our interlocutors to introduce their characters to us in a few words.

Having undoubtedly repeated the same sentence several times in the morning, Audrey Fleurot then got her brushes very slightly tangled. And then everything changed! After simply saying one word in place of another, the actress burst into an endless fit of laughter, regularly fueled by the jokes of her partner Pierre Niney.

After 1 minute and 32 seconds of uninterrupted laughter (with a stopwatch), Audrey Fleurot finally managed to regain her seriousness. “I should go take a ride on Space Mountain, it would be better”she exclaimed – the interview taking place at Disneyland Paris – before managing to regain the upper hand.

The result ? A truly delightful sequence and a moment of good humor which puts you in the perfect mood to (re)discover the fourth opus of the Toy Story saga.
