With Veeqo, Amazon wants to buy a share of sales from eBay, Shopify and Walmart

Amazon is continuing to shop to bolster its leadership global e-commerce. In this sense, the North American giant has acquired the British start-up Veeqo, which helps merchants manage their online activities on platforms such as Amazon, but also eBay, Shopify and Walmart. And this is precisely what interests the group founded by Jeff Bezos: indirectly obtaining a share of the sales of competing platforms through services that allow merchants to process their orders.

The acquisition dates back to November 2021, but it has only just been made public by Veeqo. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed. Founded in 2013, Veeqo, a Wales-based company, has raised $9.4 million since its inception, according to Crunchbase. It ensures that 28 million orders are shipped each year thanks to its solutions.
