Without losing a sentence – Lerchenfeld girls celebrate their first student league title

The BG/BRG Lerchenfeld is the national volleyball champion. In the final they beat BG Bregenz 3:0. Entire tournament without dropping a set!

The girls from BG/BRG Lerchenfeld won the first title in school history at the student league national final in Mittersill (Sbg), only the second for Carinthia. Pressure brought nervousness although you got nervous after the first sentence. “We put ourselves under pressure, but were simply stronger in the end,” says coach Heli Voggenberger. Yesterday, the girls were warmly welcomed by colleagues and teachers in Klagenfurt. “The girls first had to get used to the game – then things got better and better,” says Voggenberger, who, as head of volleyball training, is an important part of the success. “The school trains twice a week.” The work of the ATSC and VBK Klagenfurt clubs and the academy are also crucial.
