On Thursday afternoon, a guardian angel stood by a 37-year-old local cyclist in the center of Innsbruck who was dragged several meters by a truck.
The accident happened at 2:25 p.m. at Südtiroler Platz. The cyclist was traveling south on Bruneckerstrasse to the traffic light-controlled intersection with Südtiroler Platz. After the traffic light turned green, there was a collision with a truck driven by a 53-year-old Austrian. Only abrasions. According to previous investigations, the cyclist was hit by the truck driving behind him, he fell and was dragged along with the bike for a few meters. According to initial findings, the 37-year-old suffered abrasions on his hands and lower right leg in the accident. He was taken to the Innsbruck clinic.
