New week and unfortunately new studio closure. Galvanic Games, the studio behind the action game Wizard with a Gun, has just announced that its doors will close in the coming weeks. Sad news which can be explained by too low sales of his latest title.
However, while Wizard with a Gun set to release in October 2023, Galvanic Games CEO Patrick Morgan was excited about working in collaboration with Devolver Digital. A partnership that he even described as a dream come true. A short-lived dream since 8 months later, sales are far from being sufficient to allow the studio to survive.
After almost 10 years of existence, Galvanic Games is therefore forced to close its doors. In his press release on LinkedIn, Patrick Morgan of course thanks the players for their support and takes advantage of the announcement to try to give visibility to the members of his teams.
